Raised in the Bay Area and greatly influenced by my grandfather, a structural engineer in San Francisco, my fascination with the world of construction began at a young age. The intricate science and inventive problem-solving inherent in each project captivated my imagination, and witnessing the meticulous planning stages unfold further fueled my interests. It became clear that a career in the building sciences was a natural fit for me.

My journey began with forts constructed during my youth, which gradually evolved into framing ventures during my teenage years. In 2004, I became licensed in California as a General Contractor and I embarked on a path of entrepreneurship, establishing my own construction company.

Throughout my professional tenure, I have gained experience spanning infrastructure design, custom home development, and value engineering. Each project becomes an invaluable opportunity to foster collaboration and remain at the forefront of advancements in building science. I have proactively shifted towards incorporating carbon-reducing systems into my projects, aiming to create structures that are not only energy efficient but promote healthy environments.

My core belief is that building projects can be both aesthetically captivating and environmentally responsible. From renewable and recycled resources to low-emission alternatives, I prioritize materials that contribute to a healthier planet. By integrating sustainable building materials into my projects, I aim to reduce emissions and promote energy efficiency. I seek out materials that are durable, energy-efficient, and capable of withstanding the test of time, ensuring long-lasting structures that minimize the need for replacements or renovations.

The significance of early engagement with all members of the project team, including clients, designers, architects, civil engineers, project managers, structural engineers, and others, cannot be emphasized enough. At my core, I understand the crucial role that collaboration plays in creating exceptional, purposeful, and feasible structures. I take great pride in guiding projects based on these principles, while seamlessly incorporating sustainability, value engineering, and the inherent adaptability that I believe is essential in bringing my clients’ vision to life.
